On Friday, March 19th, 2010, Urtext took over the Mercury Cinema to premiere it's latest short film, 15/Love . Everyone was 'tizzied' up, the wine was flowing and the film went down a treat. A big thanks to all who helped out on the night: The Mercury staff, Josh and Sven for hawking our DVDs (thanks guys, we made enough to enter a tonne of festivals!), Cathy Cavaleri for organizing the delicious fruit baskets, and Jason Nolan for taking some awesome pics of the night. Check them out: 15/Love Premiere Photos!
Here it is, the long anticipated music video of 'If Your Dad Doesn't Have a Beard You've Got Two Mums', by The Beards. Congrats to producer Rose Tucker on this epic achievement.

As part of the 2009 Return to Work awards, WorkcoverSA commissioned Urtext to produce a series of interviews for everyone who was nominated for an award. The interviews were screened as part of the awards ceremony, and are now available on Workcover's website here. Congrats to Matt, Jim and Dylan on their top notch job.
Urtext's website has been about two months without a major update now, and whereas with most sites that means people are slowing down, with us it means that we're going gangbusters! Expect a site overhaul real soon, but in the meantime, here's what the gang's been up to:
Aaron's been busy shooting his new short film Poor Poor Wanda. The film, starring Annalisa Lippis, is currently in post-production after a gruelling four day, blood-filled shoot.
Urtext has produced two films for the 15/15 Film Festival. Aaron and Steph's film 'Hollywood Loaf' took out best production design at the national awards in Melbourne, and Matt and Rosie's film 'Balloons for Sale' also proved popular at the main screening event. Both films will screen alongside other entries at our studio on this Friday 23rd October, at 14 Grenfell Street in the city.
We've wrapped on the shoot for The Beards' newest music video, 'If Your Dad Doesn't Have a Beard, You've Got Two Mums'. The footage is looking fantastic and editing is almost complete. Expect it up on the web sometime soon.
Matt's also directed and shot a new music video for singer/songwriter Louis Fuller's new single 'Fine', off his debut album 'Living the Dream'. It's already been on Rage and is also picking up popularity on the internet.
Rosie's been overseeing the filming of three gigs for the 'Coopers Alive' event, with ten bands performing across the three nights. Two of the nights have been filmed already with great results.
Matt's also just returned from the SPAA Fringe 2009 in Sydney, with lots of good things coming from it. But more on that later...
We'll be announcing some equipment rental deals for November, as well as launching some new equipment, just in time for all those summer productions.
Check out the new music video we shot for Louis Fuller's single 'Fine' from his debut album 'Living the Dream'. It was directed, shot and edited by our very own Matt Salleh:
Urtext is proud to announce it is co-producing (with Quench Studios) the new music video for local bearded music group 'The Beards', for their new single 'If Your Dad Doesn't Have a Beard, You've Got Two Mums'. It'll be produced by Rose Tucker, with Matt Salleh co-producing. Shooting will take place in late August. It'll be directed by Tom Bettany from Quench and shot by Nick Graalman from Quench.
The vid's got a great script, some interesting challenges, and we're looking to deliver using some pretty fancy new techniques. We'll post more news as things progress.
